As soon as we decide to take that infamous “there must be more to life than this” feeling seriously and start doing our research, articles on finding your passion seem to pop up everywhere. “Life without passion is meaningless,” some people even say. So, determined as we are to get off the hamster wheel and live on our own terms, we start the search for our own life’s passion.

Well, turns out it’s not as easy and straightforward as we hoped it would be. In fact, a lot of us have been searching for years and still feel rather clueless. Some of us might uncover so many different passions that we have no idea which one to dedicate our life too. Or maybe we feel daunted to start the search because we feel so bored and disengaged with our life that it seems unthinkable that we might have any passion inside of us at all.

Finding your passion is one of the topics that we regularly discuss in Sensophy’s Inner Circle; it’s a big deal for a lot of us! That’s why we decided to chat with life passion expert Barrie Davenport to talk about how we can find our own passion and overcome the obstacles many of us face.

Watch this video to learn:

  • How to move forward when we feel disengaged from life and we’re unsure if there’s even a passion out there for you
  • What to do when you feel like you have too many passions to choose just one, and how that may or may not make you a passion slut
  • Why comfort is the biggest impediment to living a passionate life and how we can get comfortable being uncomfortable
  • What to do when you’ve done your research and figured that you can’t make your life’s passion your life’s work

Here’s the poem by Kahlil Gibran that Barrie referred to in the interview.
